EPSL Educational Printing pledged its support to a new Lancashire based teaching and learning conference Lead, Learn, Lancs.

We donated 200 personalised exercise books for delegates as well as £200 worth of fantastic teaching resources for the charity raffle.

The proceeds of the raffle were donated to Edlumino, a registered charity of qualified teachers from the United Kingdom and France providing emergency education to children currently in refugee camps.

Lead, Learn, Lancs saw national leading lights in the education community come together to share the latest news and views on the sector in a whole host of speeches and workshops on Saturday 2nd July at Rhyddings Business and Enterprise School in Oswaldtwistle.

The event’s speakers included Mark Anderson, Natalie Scott, Stephen Tierney, Martin Burrett, Rob Smith and many more, covering topics from Early Years Foundation Stage right through to Further Education.

David Pickering, Managing Director at EPSL Educational Printing, said: “I am a huge believer in supporting the local community and when I heard about Lead, Learn, Lancs I wanted to help.

“I was thrilled when they accepted my offer of producing personalised exercise books for delegates and was delighted to be able to offer £200 worth of educational resources to raise money for the chosen charity Edlumino.”

Sarah Bedwell, who organised the conference and is a Science Teacher at Rhyddings Business and Enterprise School, said: “There is a huge gap in the market for quality Lancashire based Continuing Professional Development (CPD) conferences and courses for teachers and after years of travelling round the country I decided it was time to host an event in the red rose county!

“I was overwhelmed by the response we had and the line up of speakers and workshops was exceptional. We are hugely grateful to our main sponsor, the Lancashire NUT as well as EPSL Educational Printing and Class Charts.”
