What rulings are available for A4 exercise books?

How do I choose the right ruling for my pupils?
It depends on what the books will be used for and the level of support your pupils need. Wider lines and larger squares give younger pupils more room to write and work, while narrower rulings are better suited to pupils who are comfortable writing at a smaller size.
For handwriting practice, we offer guided rulings with solid and dashed lines to help pupils develop consistent letter size, positioning and spacing. If pupils need space for both written and visual work, you can also choose books that combine lined and blank areas.

There are several sizes to choose from depending on how much work you need each book to hold. Our A4 exercise books are available with 32, 48, 64, 80 or 96 sides.
A book with fewer sides can be useful for shorter topics or projects, while a larger book is a practical choice for subjects that will be used regularly throughout the term or school year.
What colours do A4 exercise books come in?
There are 12 bright cover colours to choose from, including Gold, Blue, Yellow, Green, Cream, Pink, Grey, Red, Orange, Lime Green, Purple and Dark Blue.
Choosing different colours can also make organising books easier. You could use a different colour for each subject, class or year group, helping your pupils and other teachers quickly identify the book they need.
