Kind-hearted management at EPSL Educational Printing have pledged support to local charity, Lancashire Mind, which campaigns to make mental health a priority across the county.

The Blackburn based company, which provides exercise books and educational resources to thousands of schools across the UK, has printed 8,000 leaflets for the charity free of charge.

Half of the leaflets are for Lancashire Mind’s festive ‘Mental Elf’ 5k fun run, its biggest event of the year, which welcomes participants of all ages to run, hop, skip or walk around Blackburn’s Witton Park. The remaining 4,000 leaflets will promote the numerous services offered by the charity.

David Pickering, Managing Director at EPSL Educational Printing, said: “Lancashire Mind does a fantastic job in campaigning to eliminate the stigma associated with mental health conditions and we are delighted to have been able to help them in their fight to make this issue a local priority.

“Worrying figures released this month by NHS Digital have shown that almost a quarter of a million children and young people are receiving help from NHS mental health services for problems such as anxiety, depression and eating disorders.

“As these numbers continue to grow we are determined to do everything we can to support local charities and organisations that provide support and advice.

“With its roots in Blackburn, EPSL Educational Printing is proud to support several local causes and it is great to have Lancashire Mind on our list of deserving charities.”

Fabienne Clough, Fundraising Coordinator for Lancashire Mind, said: “We really can’t thank EPSL Educational Printing enough for helping us produce these leaflets.

“With limited funding we rely heavily on the support of companies such as EPSL Educational Printing and this contribution will go a very long way to helping us spread the word about our events and services in the coming months.

“The team are fantastic and I am looking forward to working with them again in the future.”
