Tudors and Ancient Egypt

These two packs covering the topics of Ancient Egypt and Tudors are aimed at low ability pupils in Upper Junior/ Lower Secondary Schools. They can be used with pupils with a low reading age and limited literacy skills, who struggle with long passages in text books.It is intended that after initial guidance, the great majority of children will be able to work with the materials independently. The development of the child's ability to work by following clear written instructions is an important aspect of the objectives of the materials.

Each pack consists of three booklets:

* An information booklet containing short passages of text, covering a variety of Egyptian/ Tudor topics each folled by a task for the pupil to complete.

* A workbook which is laid out in such a way that the pupil can easily determine where and how a task should be carried out.

* A picture book which contains pictures (including maps and diagrams) which are to be cut out and stuck into the workbook as instructed in the study tasks.
